DESCRIPTION:Key information for our members to be aware about for the night are:\n3. FIRST AID & EVENT RADIO CONTROLPulse South Coast will be providing first aid in the Scout Hall. Event Control will be at London House.\n4. PARKINGMayfield will be able to offer limited parking facilities\, with priority given to those who travel in coaches / minibuses\, Bands and those who require Blue Badge parking.Entry will only be allowed by production of a PERMIT\, which will be checked by Barrier Marshals and School Security. To apply for your permit\, please email Social@MayfieldBonfire.co.uk and state whether it’s for a Blue Badge\, Coach / Minibus or General Permit.Due to ongoing construction work\, parking is limited to the village streets not on the procession route! Please car share where possible and park considerately\, avoiding the procession routes.\n5. PUBLIC TRANSPORTMayfield is serviced by the Number 51 bus which will be stopping outside the Mayfield Cricket Club. The last bus towards Tunbridge Wells will be at 21:22 and towards Eastbourne will be at 22:27.\n6. TAXI POINTS & DROP OFF / COLLECTION POINTSThere will be 2 Taxi Points. One in Coggins Mill Lane (East of the Village) and the other\, just off the roundabout near to the Mayfield Cricket Club. This will be the location for any Drop Offs or Collections.\n7. TOILETSPublic Toilets are located at South Street Car Park. There will be Port-a-Loos on Court Meadow\, outside Colkins Mill Church\, Station Road\, plus additional loos in the Rose & Crown. Please DO NOT relieve yourself in the School Grounds\, or we will lose this parking facility!\n9. FLARES & ROOKIESFlares\, rookies and any form of drop-down are banned at this event. Only persons explicitly authorised to do so by Mayfield Bonfire Society are permitted to set-off fireworks.\n10. MARSHAL’S BRIEFING – COMPULSARY FOR ALL WALKING GROUPS TO ATTEND!!!!All Walking Groups including Bonfire Societies and Bands must select their own Group Marshal\, who is required to attend a short briefing just before the event starts. This will cover potential changes to the procession route due to building works and weather conditions. This will be held in London House\, High Street at 6.15pm – please be sure to attend.\n11. BONFIRE & BONFIRE PRAYERSWe are hoping to have a Bonfire again on Court Meadow (weather dependent). After de-torching at the entrance to Court Meadow\, all Bonfire Societies\, Bands & Walking Groups will be encouraged to continue down to a dedicated area around the Fire Site for Bonfire Prayers and the lighting of the Bonfire. To light the bonfire\, MBS would like every Society\, Band and Walking Group to nominate a person who would be willing to help light the bonfire with a flaming torch. They’ll be given a new one at the firesite!!\n12. REFRESHMENTS\, BADGES & PROGRAMMESWe encourage all Bonfire Societies\, Bands\, other Walking Groups to patronise the two Mayfield Bonfire Society Bars. The main bar will be located near the Cannon at the east end of the High Street (open from 6pm) and the second in Court Meadow next to the Scout Hut (open from 9pm). Bars will be serving Harvey’s Beer\, Lakedown Lager\, Biddenden Cider and wine.\nAs is the tradition of Mayfield\, we will again be serving teas and sandwiches in the Scout Hut for Band and Bonfire Society members. There will also be the usual food vending vans and the two village pubs.\nBadges and Programmes will be available at a separate stand next to the Main Bar\, High Street.

DESCRIPTION:Info supplied by BHBS \nGetting here \nPlease be aware we have had notice from visiting societies that in previous years the road closures at Buxted have caused a few attendance issues getting across Sussex although officially this looks to be in from 18:30 our Roads close at 18:00 and open at 22:30.. \nParking \nParking will be available at Cyprus Road Car Park for all visiting Societies. The address is: Cyprus Road Car Park\, Burgess Hill\, RH15 8DX. We ask you to advise your members not to park along the procession route. \nPlease note that there is no parking at the Boys Club (Fire Field) as access is required for emergency vehicles \nFireworks in Procession \nThree are no fireworks allowed in the procession or at the fire field\, there may be use of BHBS boom barrel\, this is for the appointed BHBS members to use only. You may hear Fire Crackers going off between societies on the return from Silverdale Road\, this is being done by the hard working fire cart teams\, so if you are positioned behind a fire cart you may see this happening\, there are 4 teams\, and outside of BHBS members at the front of the procession these are the only ones allowed to use Fire Crackers. \n  \nFlares \nYou may use marine flares\, but we ask that this is done with the flare pointing towards your central rank\, ignited by pointing down and away from the crowd and not in the confined areas/tight streets towards the firesite (Cross Roads onwards). Flares must also be disposed of safely either in the centre of the road between the ranks (away from the curb and therefore also the crowd) or in the nearest fire cart. \nTimings \nWe will be gathering at Cyprus Road Car Park from 17:30 – this is to allow time for the readjusted road closurers as Roads close at 18:00 and open at 22:30. \n18:15 Remembrance Service \nPlease feel free to join the short processiion and line the outside of the warmemorail gardens with us. \n18:30 Costume Competition \nVisiting societies in Cyprus Road carpark \n18:35 Tar Barrel Drag Racing Church Road \nthere are still places should you want to enter a 2 member team \n19:30 First Procession \nCrescent Way to  Silverdale Road – short break whilst the procession turns around \n20:40 Grand Procession \nSilverdale Road to Fairfield Recreation Ground \n21:45 Firework Display & Bonfire \nRefreshment vans and funfair \nRoute Map
