LBS attending Burgess Hill Bonfire Celebrations

You are likely to find LBS members in Wetherspoons in the late afternoon, and we like to take the train to BHill so can be found in the Burrel Arms before this (time to be confirmed)! Parking is available to LBS members in the Cyprus Road Car Park RH15 8DX but you need to arrive before 6pm. We also participate in the costume competition behind the Constitutional Club and also the barrel racing at the top of the pedestrianised area near Wetherspoons. LBS members follow BHill form Cyprus Road Car Park to the War Memorial for their act of Remembrance. Procession form up is in the Cyprus Road car park for a 7.30pm start. No Drop downs etc are allowed.

Timings:
6.30pm Road closures will be in place in the town centre.
6.20pm small remembrance parade of Burgess Hill members only will leave Cyprus road carpark and process to the war memorial. However, all are invited to show their respects at the war memorial. Due to this there will be no vehicle access to Cyprus Rd carpark between 6.15pm to 6.30pm.
6.30pm Costume competitions will be held in the service road adjacent to the carpark.
6.35pm Tar Barrel race in Church Road.
7pm Form up in Cyprus Road carpark
7.30pm 1st walk to Silverdale Road.
8.40pm Grand Procession from Silverdale Road to Fairfield Recreation Ground
9.45pm Firework display and bonfire.
For safety reasons we ask that you do not make mini bonfires along the route with your discarded torches.
Toilets are available in the Constitutional Club which backs on to Cyprus Road carpark. There also will be toilets available in The Top House pub. Please use these toilets as we have had several complaints from residents in the area that people have been relieving themselves on their private property.
Please be aware that all carparks in Burgess Hill now charge until 8pm.
Just a final reminder that we run a strict policy on NO DISCHARGE OF FIREWORKS
DURRING THE PROCESSION OR ON THE FIRESITE.
Please do not park along the procession route especially the roads near to the
firesite
